Dr. Rogers Williams Nelson

FOUNDER

"The successful warrior is the average man, but with laser-like focus" - Bruce Lee.

This holds significantly true in the life of Dr. Rogers , the founder of Effatha Charity Watch. A man who has been through the highs and lows of life's roller coaster, and someone that is considered a veteran when it comes to the field of media and advertising. Dr. Rogers was born in Bangalore to Mr. Williams and Mrs. Moksha Mary. He had always dreamt of making it big in the industry, in some form or the other and worked tirelessly through thick and thin to realize his dreams.

A philanthropist by his own right, Dr. Rogers started out as a small time actor for government productions, even at the young age of 16. Thereafter, he went on to produce several short films and documentaries, having produced his first documentary at the age of 19. His passion for making it big in this industry fuelled him to garner the attention of his seniors and guŕus, and subsequently he would go on to win many accolades and awards that recognised his talent.

Dr. Rogers, together with his wife, Mrs. Valarina Rogers cofounded Millennium Ad Media in the year 2000. Rendering commercial services such as print and radio advertisements to the biggest names in showbiz. Millennium Ad Media tasted success right from its roots. Their major clients and associations include Radio City, VLCC, Modern World, and the like. Dr. Roger’s next venture was in founding a much larger platform to cater to the finer aspects of the world of cinema. This gave birth to the ‘ Rogers Production House’ , an in house production studio. This helped expand his clientele to an internationally acclaimed standard. Kingfisher, Honda, Kuberan Silks, Davanam Jewellers, Raja Housing, Upkar, Philips, Yamaha, Lifestyle, Onkyo, Akai, Sony among a host of other 250 plus brands, that have been promoted by the Rogers Production House. Another feather in the already colourful hat of Dr. Rogers, is his online Radio Station, Rogers Online Radio. A station that delivers music from across the globe. It is the dream of Dr. Rogers to develop this medium into a Community Radio Network, and help bring innovation, news and entertainment to the rural sectors of India. He plans to bring across the latest trends in education, health awareness and skill development through the Community Radio, to the remotest villages and towns of our country, which otherwise, have no access to it. Ms. Valarina, as of then, met Mr. Rogers in 1999, already a reputed pioneer then, and they entered their magical wedlock in the millennial year 2000. They shared a mutual understanding, and their common interest in being service-minded to people in the new millennium, led them to co-founding their baby vision in Millennium Ad Media, an advertising agency that releases print, radio and television commercials for all leading Indian channels. The company has carved a niche for itself in the Media domain, and have promoted several commercial giants in the advertisement industry.

However, she wouldn't stop just there. Mrs. Rogers would go on to co-found the Effatha Charity Watch along with her husband, and thereby, fulfill her dream of providing ample growth and opportunities to the lesser privileged classes of our society, and help them come out and shine.

Her vision continues to bear fruit even today, as Effatha is paving a way for thousands of people to walk the grand stage of life. She hopes that some day, through this Charity Watch, she will have made a difference in the lives of the needy and downtrodden people, and made this world a brighter place for them to live in.
